This event is formal attire Black Tie optional. What does this mean? It means you have the flexibility to show off your personality and choose an outfit that reflects your style, while still looking dressy and elegant! Remember we are all Veterans and we want to get dressed up a time or two while also having a good time after the formalities.
Men:
- Wear black tie formalwear. If fellow guests are doing this, then you might feel more comfortable, however it would be completely acceptable to opt for less formal attire.
- Dress smart casual and wear a suit. Bear in mind that your fellow guests will be dressed suitably for the occasion, so make sure that you don’t look out of place by also choosing smart footwear and accessories.
Women:
- This means you have the choice of a floor length dress or a luxe cocktail dress.
- As far as styling goes, black-tie optional invites you to really experiment with your hair, makeup, and jewelry to become a more elevated version of yourself. Black-tie optional is the antithesis of daily life, so if you wear your hair in a bun in your everyday life, perhaps get a beautiful half-up half-down hairstyle that will make you feel and look different. When it comes to jewelry, leave the apple watch at home and wear jewelry that draws attention to you.
We want everyone to feel great. If there are concerns over not having something nice to wear, our collaborative network is ready to get you in a dress and suited. Please contact us via email immediately so we can get the “Ball Rolling” for our STL regional Veterans.
The STL Veterans Ball is a celebration of our region’s veterans, and we rely on the generosity of our community to make this event a success. Your support helps us create a memorable evening for veterans and their families. There are several ways you can contribute:
Donate: Your donations are crucial in helping us cover the costs of the event, from venue rental to catering and entertainment. Every dollar counts and makes a difference in ensuring our veterans have an unforgettable night.
- Individual Donations: Any amount is appreciated and goes directly to supporting the event.
- In-Kind Donations: Goods or services that can be used during the event, such as catering, decorations, or raffle items.

We fundraise ahead of our event so that we can keep cost at minimum for everyone to attend. This event is an evening to bring the community, our family and friends to celebrate Veterans!
